Return and Refund Policy
At Allworthy Records, we take great care to accurately describe and securely package every record we sell. As a specialist independent retailer of new and pre-owned vinyl, our returns policy reflects both UK consumer law and the collectible nature of vinyl records.
Change of Mind Returns
If you change your mind, you may return your order within 14 days of receipt, provided that:
- The record is returned in the same condition as it was supplied
- Any sealed (Mint/New) records remain unopened
- The item is securely packaged for return
Return postage costs for change-of-mind returns are the responsibility of the customer. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Once the item is received and inspected, a refund will be issued to the original payment method.
Used and Graded Records
All used records are visually & play tested graded using the Goldmine standard and described honestly and conservatively. For quality assurance we retain images and, where applicable, recordings of used records.
Please note:
- Minor surface marks, light crackle, or signs of age consistent with the stated grade (e.g. VG, VG+) do not constitute a fault
- We cannot accept returns based solely on subjective grading differences within the accepted tolerance of vinyl grading standards
If you have any questions about a record’s condition prior to purchase, please contact us. We’re always happy to help with information and images.
Faulty, incorrect, or damaged items
If you receive:
- The wrong item
- An item that is significantly not as described
- An item that has been damaged in transit
Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery, including photographs where possible.
In these cases, we will arrange a full refund, including original shipping costs, or a replacement where available.
Opened sealed records
If a sealed (Mint/New) record is opened, it is no longer eligible for a full refund unless it is faulty. Any approved refund may be subject to a reduced value to reflect the change in condition.
Refund processing
Approved refunds will be processed within 5–7 working days of the returned item being received and inspected.
